Kristen Kiyan
Principal Artist & Owner, originally from the West Coast, came to the Big Apple 20yrs ago on a girls’ trip, which turned into a forever love affair with New York City & the man of her dreams. She worked for many years as a bi-coastal makeup artist flying between LA and NYC before joining the NY union. Now, a seasoned New Yorker, she founded the Beauty Refinery NYC, a boutique agency, in 2021. Kristen perfected her art while working with a host of stars and celebrities in film & television. She has worked for Disney, HBO, CBS, Netflix, Apple TV & major film studios such as Paramount, SkyDance and Lionsgate, to name a few.
Kristen brought her talent and savvy industry knowledge together with her bi-coastal reach, to BRNYC and applied it to handpick a team of top celebrity artists & stylists who can provide calm, professional, and expert styling for any event. Whether it’s a small sophisticated bridal party, a spectacular large-scale wedding, a major corporate event, or a celebrity red carpet appearance, BRNYC can provide the perfect hand-selected team. Cynthia
After giving herself her first haircut at the age of 5 with a pair of child safety scissors, she went on to cosmetology school in her home state of California. Upon graduation, she began working at a salon where she mastered the art of cutting, coloring and styling. In 2007, she moved to NYC & began assisting some of the top hair & makeup artists for editorial shoots, fashion shows, commercials, and films- including the New York City Ballet & Prada. Since then, Cynthia has built a remarkable reputation as an enthusiastic and creative artist. She has many film/ tv credits on hit TV shows such as Law & Order, SVU, Dr. Death, Search Party, styled celebrities such as Nick Cage, Hillary Duff, Lucy Hale, Dylan Obrien and Zoey Deutch and many more.
Maryse, lived & studied in France & Latin America before moving to the USA. She is a former model who traveled the world and walked the runways who then became a professional YSL trained makeup artist more than 20 years ago. She is a licensed NY esthetician & wellness coach. She has touched the faces of countless celebrities both in France and the USA. She brings her kind and soothing demeanor along with her professional makeup expertise to every event.

Quinn, born & raised in West Palm Beach Florida decided to follow her dreams after graduating from Auburn University. She moved to NYC in 2022 and attended Make-up Designory. We luckily scooped up this talented young artist to join our team! Sweet-natured, enthusiastic & talented, Quinn is a perfect fit for the beauty industry. She can’t wait to be a part of your special day!
Danielle
Danielle, a native New Yorker, is a seasoned and published makeup artist. Her passion for oil painting has translated into an artistry of painting faces. Prior to working on TV & Film she owned her own successful Long Island, Bridal and Special Event Makeup Business. Her approach to makeup is modern & flawless with an obsession for creating radiant skin. Her ability to bring out one’s beauty leaves clients feeling confident both on and off camera. Currently, Danielle thrives in TV and film productions, collaborating with numerous well-known personalities.
Goddess
Goddess fell in love with make-up as a child which naturally led her to a career in the beauty industry. She has been a celebrity makeup artist for 27 years, with experience across multiple medias. Goddess, worked for CNN for 22years, ABC, NBC, HBO, Jimmy Fallon and on Broadway shows such as Rent, Lion King, Aida & for fashion greats Isaac Mizzarahi & Dolce & Gabbana are among her many credits. Goddess brings her mastery of make-up & her Joie de Vivre to every client!
Aaron
Aaron is a talented wigmaker and master hairstylist. He has been working in the entertainment industry for over 10 years. His passion for hair design and wig-making began at a very young age. He honed his skills by taking courses in cosmetology and stagecraft. He has a stellar reputation for creating incredible wigs and hairstyles. Aaron has worked on a wide variety of projects, from major motion pictures to hit television shows. Here is a few examples, The Irishman, Ray Donovan, Pinball and has been a personal stylist to Marcia Gay Harden, Susan Sarandon, Kaley Kuoco & Pete Davidson. If you're looking for a wigmaker or hairstylist who is dedicated, creative, and deeply knowledgeable about the craft, he is the person for you!
After finishing her Master’s Degree in Poland, Karolina wanted to travel. She came to the USA as an au pair based in San Francisco. She was introduced to her now husband through friends and the rest is history. It was love at first sight! She relocated to NY where her husband is from & began working for a prominent wedding planner. Karolina knew the wedding industry was the place for her, so she decided to follow her dream of styling hair. She joined BRNYC in 2021 and has been happily living her dream of styling brides ever since!

Kim
Kim started her life as a musical theatre performer & has traveled the world performing in shows such as A Chorus Line, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and she was a Radio City Rockette. She always had a love for hairstyling. While Kim was still performing, she began working on Broadway in the hair department. Kim, now an accomplished hair stylist, has worked on more than 50 different film & TV productions. In 2022 she joined the BRNYC team and Kim would be thrilled to be a part your incredibly special day!
Olivia
Olivia was born on Long Island & raised in Poland after her parents returned when she was 3. She started her career as a professional makeup artist in Poland, attending one the country’s best schools. She mastered the skills of bridal makeup and is an amazing eyebrow specialist. Now living back on Long Island, Olivia joined Beauty Refinery NYC and we are thrilled to have her! This lovely soul will make your wedding makeup & brow dreams a reality!

Greg
Born and raised in Ohio, Greg studied at the Cincinnati School of Hair Design & The Paul Mitchell School. He continued his education with Design Essentials. He mastered men’s grooming while managing operations of the business, and creating a name for himself, building a clientele including Olympic Silver Medalist David Payne, Spectrum One News Anchor Curtis Jackson, NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals players Jermaine Gresham, and Jason Allen. Greg, then made the move to the big apple, where he joined the NY union. He has styled hair for numerous celebrities on film/TV and Broadway. Including, “The Color Purple”, “Dear Evan Hanson, “Book of Mormon”, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and the Deuce for HBO. He has styled celebrities for the MET GALA, fashion week and has been published in Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Esquire, Marie Claire, Ebony, and Vanity Fair.
Hilary
Hilary, has been a hair & makeup artist for over 18 years, specializing in timeless up styles, waves & textured hair. Her perfected skills, achieve each clients desired look, while guiding them to what will work best for their face shape, wardrobe & event. Her passion shows through each hair & makeup design. She has styled countless celebrities and worked on over 50 tv/ films productions. Most recently she styled Mila Jovovich & Sam Worthington for their new feature film.
Hilary also leads our wellness services, as a skilled wellness, life & mindfulness coach, a Hypnotist, Reiki practitioner, Energy Healer & Intuitive Yogi. We book wellness services with Hilary for individuals or groups.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Lyndsey started her career in the bridal industry nearly a decade ago. She mastered the skills of bridal makeup working and training in a prominent luxury Connecticut salon. Her private clients soared, and she became a sought-after artist in her region. She has what we call the” glowy touch” making clients natural & radiant!
